Salt Lake City - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks played Real Monarchs SLC to a 0-0 draw in the USL game of the week to finish the 2016 series at 1-1-1 between the Rocky Mountain rivals. In the second of their three games in eight days, the Switchbacks were hoping to bounce back after a 1-1 draw in Portland on Wednesday. The Switchbacks were able to get a few shots off early on but none of them quite contested the Real Monarchs keeper. The Switchbacks continued to apply pressure throughout the first half but weren't able to capitalize on their opportunities.
